Editing Entries in Craft 3.7
The entry editing workflow has been drastically simplified in Craft 3.7.
To create a new entry, go to the Entries section in your Craft CMS control panel.
Each of your sections will be listed down the side of the page. Choose the one you wish to create a new entry in, and then press New entry.
Give your new entry a Title and some content. Along the way, you can see exactly what it’s going to look like once it’s live by pressing Preview.
When you’re ready to publish your entry, press Create entry. Your entry will be saved and published to the site.
To update an existing entry, go to the Entries section and search for the entry you wish to edit. Click on its title to open its edit page.
As you make changes, the revision menu will show that the content has been edited, and any fields that have been modified will be marked with a blue line, to help you keep track of what’s changed.
Your changes are stored automatically, so if you leave the page and return to it later, you can pick up right where you left off.
When you’re ready to publish your changes, press Save.
Or if you’ve changed your mind and would like to discard your changes, open the revision menu and press Discard changes.
Working with drafts #
If you’re in the middle of working on some changes, but need to stash them away while you make a different edit, press Create a draft. That will store your in-progress changes in a new entry draft, which you can continue working on over time.
You can switch between editing the published entry content and your draft from the entry’s revision menu.
Changes to the main entry content will be applied to the draft automatically, so long as they don’t conflict with the draft’s changes.
When you’re ready to publish the changes in your draft, press Apply draft.
