Enovate

Enovate is a web design and development agency in Chelmsford, Essex, and Craft CMS has been our content management system of choice since 2013. We have been an Official Craft Partner since 2018 and are now Craft Verified — one of a small number of UK agencies formally partnered with Pixel & Tonic.

We have delivered 84 Craft CMS projects: brochure sites, multi-site and multilingual builds, research and data platforms, and membership and public-sector sites. Most of the Craft sites we build are still ours to look after. We host them on AWS, support them and extend them years after launch, so what we know about Craft comes from running it, not just building on it.

We also take on existing Craft sites when an organisation needs a new home for one. That starts with an audit — code, hosting, upgrade path — then we stabilise, transition and support the site on a monthly retainer or ad hoc, including bringing sites that have fallen behind up to the current version.

We build Craft plugins where the project needs one, and two are public: Style Inliner and Social Stream. We also build Laravel applications, which matters more now that Craft runs on Laravel; integrating Craft with a bespoke application or an external data source is routine work for us.

Clients include the University of Oxford's Climate Policy Monitor, the Linnean Society of London, Pandemic PACT, Climate Analytics, the Energy & Climate Intelligence Unit, Explore Essex and Southend Care. Established in 2000; our average client relationship is over seven years.
