Today marks the 10-year anniversary of Craft 1.0!
That’s a pretty long time to be working on the same software project, and yet working on Craft is still incredibly fun. That’s a credit to this amazing team here at P&T, and the best community I could ever imagine. It’s also thanks to this space we’re in. The Web is always evolving, and our tools must embrace that or fade away.
Craft has certainly done its part to evolve with the Web—even leading the change at times. Ben Croker was nice enough to publish a list of highlights, which was pretty cool to skim through. It’s been eventful!
And we’re not slowing down. In fact, 2023 will mark the beginning of a new era for Craft, with major improvements coming in Craft 5 that will take content modeling and authoring to a whole new level; and the launch of Craft Cloud later this year, bringing modern deployments and scalable hosting to the Craft world.
We can’t wait to share more about what the future holds at our Dot All conference in Barcelona this October. Until then, a huge thank you to everyone in the Craft community for being a part of this journey!
Here’s to the next 10 🍻
