It's an exciting day for Craft Commerce. After nine months in Beta, Commerce 2 is ready for prime time!
Commerce 2 is available in two editions: Lite ($199) and Pro ($999).
We built Commerce Lite for websites that just need the basics, for things like one-off sales or subscriptions, where complex tax and shipping rules, promotion management, and shopping carts would be overkill.
Commerce Pro is our full-featured ecommerce platform for traditional ecommerce stores. It has all the same great features from Commerce 1, and then some:
- You can now offer subscriptions (Stripe only).
- Sales and discounts can now be assigned to any purchasable type, as well as categories.
- Orders can now have completely customizable and friendlier reference numbers.
- Payment Gateways are now available as plugins giving you the option to choose which gateway is best for your project.
- Make the shopping experience even easier for your customers with Commerce 2's improved address management features and the ability to store credit card data within the gateway.
